I understand that the ALO interview will be with a different ALO than the one DS had been communicating with. Does DS need to reach out to someone in order to get the interview scheduled?. Or will the ALO reach out to schedule it?. His application deadline is Oct 31, so I am curious when to expect it to happen.

Have your DS checking his portal daily; the ALO will "change" when the interview is due. Then if I were him I'd reach out to the new ALO!

So far the two I've had did NOT do that...

DS said his ALO on his portal changed two weeks ago. Not sure what to make of it as his previous ALO has been mentoring through the application process.

Does this mean DS should contact his "new ALO" to set up an interview/evaluation? It states in the Instructions to Candidates (17 July 2017; page 6) that "once you have completed all of your required forms your evaluator will contact you to coordinate and schedule your personal interview/evaluation.

DS has nearly completed all of his application, so until it is 100% complete, I suppose we should wait...

The new ALO will be his Evaluator. Whereas each ALO is different, ours called us as soon as we were mostly complete (only CFA scores remain) with DS's application. His interview will be online and is set for later this week. Hurricane Irma nearly delayed it for us.

I was just wondering what to do if my ALO isn't returning contact? We had a couple of emails back and forth last month trying to schedule the interview, but then they stopped responding. I don't want to keep bothering them, but I'm stressed that I don't have this even scheduled yet. Any advice?

BOTHER HIM! If this academy thing isn't that important to you then don't. You need to start thinking critically. Make sure you have the correct email address and call if you have a phone number. Seek additional contact information from your academy liaison listed on your portal. If after several more attempts you still haven't gotten a reply, seek assistance from your liaison. Be respectful AND persistent. This is YOUR future and you are responsible. ALO's are certainly human and often have many responsibilities with family, careers and assisting other candidates and without intention, can let something like follow-up contact slip.

Make certain that this is the same ALO whose name is still on your portal. Once you get close to completing your portion of your application, the ALO will be changed to a new one (non local) for the purpose of the interview, only. Once the interview and evaluation have been completed, you will revert back to the first ALO. Possibly this person stopped responding because he/she is not your interviewing ALO?

Yes, it's the right person. I actually had the interview scheduled with the previous ALO and the day of the interview, it changed to a new ALO.

I sent another email today. Thanks!

The new ALO is the only person you can expect will be willing to schedule the interview with you.
