USAFA Appointment Folder (Blue Folder) arrival

The letter says "reach out to your ALO as soon as possible and let them know the date, location, and time of your high school awards ceremony so they can speak on your behalf."
It's not clear if they mean graduation or some other "awards ceremony", anyone know what this means exactly?

Our high school has a "scholarship and awards ceremony" a few weeks before commencement. Our was held this week, Commencement will be the June 4th. Our graduating class size is 300-350. Presenting a SA appointment would occur at the scholarship and awards ceremony.
