I haven't heard anything specific from them. For me it just says, "Your consent form for the Criminal Records Review has been received by USAFA Admissions."

yellowfisherman seems to be the only one from MD. My DS is still waiting to hear if he gets a nomination.

You do have to formally accept the appointment to receive the BFE from the academy.

So it should say in your portal. I just sent mine in and have no response, but in the red letters underneath the Appointment Accepted in your portal, there is a sentence saying "contest form for criminal record review has not been received". I believe it should change once they get the form, but it also might only change after a complete review of the form. Then, one should start to receive more information about reporting and requirements. Don't forget to keep looking in the mail for the BFE. After acceptance, it should be on its way.

My son is a freshman at USAFA. Last year his blue folder came in the mail about five weeks after he received his appointment on his portal.

Thought I would mention, to help others with expectations...DD formally accepted the end of Oct, but has not received anything in the mail since acceptance. There was some "paperwork" for her to fill out on her portal, but she still hasn't received anything in the mail. Not sure if it's a mail issue (been really slow lately!), a covid issue or a change in how USAFA is doing it this year. She figures she'll just wait and keeps checking back to the portal as least weekly to see if there's any additional information she needs. She figures in due time they will tell her what she needs to know. The beauty of receiving (and accepting) an offer is that she can just focus on finishing off senior year and not stress about college decisions.

I am in MD. I have received a nomination from Rep. Trone (MD-06). But no word yet from USAFA.

My son is in MD as well, no news on nominations yet, and no news from the USAFA. He received a LOA to USNA, and is awaiting his nom and medical waiver, but the USAFA would still be his first choice if given the opportunity.

He's getting antsy awaiting the nomination results.

APCR what district of Virginia did you receive the congressional nomination? My son is from district 4 and received his congressional nomination.

Yeah, I've seen pictures like this and was just wondering. USCGA sends out a formal package before appointees accept, if they indicate continued interest. I'd imagine the academies do anything possible to lock up candidates.
