USAFA Appointments

Hello!

I'm a candidate currently waiting on a potential appointment. I received two nominations and I'm starting to lose a little hope as we see more people get accepted.

Should I be anxious that my portal online hasn't been updated? Should I start considering my other options?

Appointments are still coming out. So as long as you haven't received a TWE, you still have a chance of getting an appointment.

You should always be considering your other options but do stay hopeful. Be hopeful for this year and also reapplying next year. The appointments that have been given so far are primarily from the top of MOC slates and even those may not be completed in every district. Then you'll still be in the running for an at-large appointment from the NWL. Always be planning but it's not over for this year.

I am also waiting on a potential appointment and I was a Principal Nominee for my district. As mentioned by @mommahedg , I don't think that the top of MOC slates have been completed in every district as well.

What district in MN are you? I know the 5th district has a congressional nom appointment. I also know of two individuals receiving appointments from the 3rd and 6th districts, but they also had Presidential noms.

When I received my nomination they called me and I asked.

Yes when I got the call that I was nominated, they told me it was the principal. Also, they should be able to tell you if you call your MOC local office and ask.
