I already submitted my CFA scores about a week ago to the Academy but upon closer examination I'm a little nervous that they aren't as good as I thought they were... Basketball throw 35', Pullups 1, Shuttle run 10s, Sit ups 79, Pushups 35, mile run 6:12. I feel like other peoples scores were much better than mine, and I didn't realize that falling below the average in some events could be disqualifying. How do my scores look?

Also, I am a female

Here’s the link to USAFA’s CFA goals (their word, rather than “average”). Did you compare your scores to this before submitting. If you did, you’d have known you were below goal on every event except the mile. Just a little below goal on a couple events, but below goal nonetheless.

Is it fatal? Hard to say, because we don’t have the rest of your application in front of us. Clearly there are those with below-average scores who get in (and vice-versa). And you’re right: there are those who get in despite being below average on an event or two. But almost every event — that’s a much tougher road.

If you have time still to complete your application, contact admissions and find out if you can retake and resubmit. I know the SAs have different policies on that. If they give you the chance, use the extra time to work your butt off and go all out. Best wishes.
