USAFA Class of 2016

Apparently that number came directly from the superintendant. It was shocking news to me... but class size reductions are inevitable with the all the budget cuts and the economy in shambles.

On the bright side, since 4400 cadets is the target, and ~1100 cadets in each class (2012, 2013, 2014), that would put the number next year at ~4000. So MAYBE it might return back to its normal 1400 appointments for 2016 to keep that number around 4400. But that's just my own reasoning.
 
Appointed to Prep school this year, so hopefully I will be seeing you all next year at the start of the freshman year.

Applying here as well.. '16, GA 7, accepted to AFASS Session 2. Haven't yet decided applying here, USMA, and USNA..we'll see what happens.

Plan A-academies, Plan B-ROTC Scholarship, Plan C-Enlist Reserves, then apply later for academies or ROTC (while attending civilian college)

I never look at these numbers like this. It's never good to look at statistics like this. Just try your best, send in your applications, and the rest is out of your hand.

If you enlist in the reserves, there is a special slot available to enlisted folks. If you end up going down that path, PM me. I can help you out with that application process!

I'm sixteen and live in Arkansas. Attending AFSS session 2 and then headed to the NASS session 2; also attending the baseball camp at the Naval Academy. Would love to receive an appointment and be able to play ball as well. Like many others, my backup plan is ROTC.

Hello, I'm Cecilia from District 16 California. I got waitlisted to the SS but am really hopeful to still possibly get in it. Still looking for a plan b and c if not USAFA
 
I'm a USAFA, USNA, USMA, class of 2016 hopefull too! Junior in highschool, planning on taking courses at a community college my senior year, so I can get a heluva good SAT score! Good luck to all of you! Maybe we'll be all class mates someday!
