Been fortunate to receive notification this week that I received more than one nomination for the Academy... now that the nominations have been uploaded and my file is complete... maybe I’ll hear something... an early Christmas present????? The instructions to candidates document says, "As a guide, we encourage you to complete this package [the application] by early October if you started in July, and within 45 days if you started later, to be considered for an early offer of appointment (prior to March)." Did you complete your candidate kit early?
 
Will certificates of appointments only be sent out in the Spring even if you have received an appointment recently?

I got a call from my congressman and I got a principal appointment to the Air Force Academy, which was my number one choice. He said paper work should be to me this week and portal should update this week. As soon as i get it, I will be able to add my name to the list.

Congratulations - just remember that although the nomination may post this week, it could take much longer for an offer of appointment to be processed.

< Edit - sorry, I saw "principal" and was thinking the call was about a nomination, not offer of appointment... >

FMSH-79, I had a nomination with USAFA for the last month. My congressman called to let me know i was his Principal nomination Friday and to expect an appointment this week with paper work. I am overly excited and humbled to receive an appointment.
 
Congrats!!! Decision time. Which appointment are you going to chose, USMMA or USAFA?
