Good Afternoon,
This past spring I had my DoDMERB denied for a mental health incident that happened in March. I was dropped from AFROTC as I did have a valid DoDMERB and my USAFA Appointment was rescinded. I was told that the Air Force would not re-evaluate my waiver request for 5 years. I initiated my appeal process and got a psych examination. Apparently, they evaluated my appeal before I was able to submit the results of this evaluation with my appeal.
My psych evaluation basically said that there is no reason to believe that the issue is habitual and I should be able to serve. The evaluator had done contracting with doing military evaluations in his past.
I am re-applying to academies this year and am wondering if it's possible to re-appeal my waiver to the Air Force Waiver Authority and if so, who I may be able to discuss this with.
I appreciate any help or guidance anyone can provide.
V/r,
Benjamin
