I did the exact thing last summer, USAFA SS to NASS and also had one night in between. I actually got stuck in an airport overnight because of flight delays, even though I called before my first flight took off and transferred to a later flight. Moral of the story, if you can't get a direct flight, don't do through a huge airport because they aren't usually accommodating. I talked to some security guards about it at 3:30am because the flight I got for the next morning (after spending the night in the airport) was cancelled. They said because the airport I was in was so big, people get stuck there for days. Luckily, I got to NASS on time but I had to drive to a different airport to do so. You can also fly as an unaccompanied minor (depending on when your birthday is) because even though I was a minor I wasn't flying specifically as an unaccompanied minor so the airline did not do any of the usual special things they do for minors, including allowing me to stay in the unaccompanied minors room. It is extra and means that they have an airline person take you around, but in my case it would have meant the difference between spending the night at the airport and at a family friend's house where I could shower, get a good meal, and a solid night's sleep. I was able to get to their house to wash my clothes and repack my second bag before heading over. But the biggest thing that saved me was I DID NOT check a bag. I ended up at a different airport than planned on a different airline so I would have lost my luggage for sure had I checked a bag, my first airline was sending me emails for a week trying to book me a flight out of where I got stuck thinking I was still there.

I'm going from USAFA to West Point SLE too. I have friends in Colorado Springs so I'm staying with them and can do laundry. I'm just packing for both. I got an early morning flight from Denver to Newark on the 10th so I hope I don't get any flight delays.

Is anyone else having issues trying to join the google teams link that they sent out. I have been trying for days and nothing has worked.

I have not even gotten an email for the teams link, and I don't know of anyone who has been able to get in. If anyone has gotten in please post how here.
Lots of issues. Ds and I were on the phone with Microsoft for 90 minutes and it did not help.
My son has been unsuccessful also. He has spent a LOT of time trying to figure it out. Leaving for SLE tomorrow morning, so going from there back to back to AFASS, he's probably not going to have it figured out by the time he arrives.
Mine left for SLE this morning and has a 7 hour turnaround once getting home before he leaves for Boys State so he'll be in the same situation when he starts USAFASS session 3. My current USAFA cadet said this is similar to what they went through trying to get everyone on Teams during BCT last summer. Hopefully they'll figure it a solution that won't require a lot from our boys.
Hello! I believe you had to accept the invitation they sent in a previous email. Then go to the most recent one and click on the link they gave you and follow the instructions. From there, I just downloaded the Microsoft Teams app and signed in using the email I used to sign up for the Seminar. Make sure to select for Personal Use. Once I got in the Teams app, there wasn’t any specific USAFA SS Group. I’m not sure if they just want us to download the app or to join a group. That’s all I know right now. Hope this helps!

The problem is that I have not gotten an email with any link to accept an invitation. I have only gotten two emails and they both say to look out for an email with the link to accept the invitation, and to follow the steps listed below.

Checked spam? Often emails from senders not in your Contacts, with embedded links, end up there.

Yeah I checked all of my emails and spam/junk in each of them. My guess is that there is a discrepancy in their mailing lists and it's because I transferred from session C to B.

Hello,
I accepted the link to join their organization successfully but when I go to join the teams app with the two links they provided, the links just keep loading and loading until they eventually say that there is too many requests and to try again later. Any ideas on how to fix this?
This is the EXACT thing my DS described is happening to him. Frustrating!

The email comes from Microsoft. I was searching for the admin email they said the email would come from and couldn't find anything. I looked for "microsoft" and it came up.

Someone from my school told me this as well but after searching for Microsoft the email wasn't there.
Hi! I actually had the same problem. Right now, I’m just logged into the Teams app. I’m not sure how to do anything past that. The links just keep loading, but I think the links are just to access/download the Teams app.
I know there’s some down time before everything starts. Maybe try arriving early to the Seminar and see if they can help you. I’m planning on doing the same thing.
I can forward you the email with the invitation link if you would like. I might need your email though.
