Can someone please explain the transition process? Would like a heads up on the program if possible, also even better if you know how I prior would do it. Thank you!

Uh. . . I'm not really sure what you are asking for. . . but here you go.

-Within the first few months of the P, EVERYONE applies for nominations from all possible sources. This is the only part of the application process that needs to be completed for the C/O 2018.
-This year, appointments to the AFA aren't decided until sometime in May. I highly suggest you culitvate plan B options because of the lateness of the notification.
- Historically, the Prep School sends 180 people to the AFA, by the time April/May rolls around, your class will shrink to about 190, meaning some people will be left high and dry,
- Prep School graduation takes place about three weeks into May. You are kicked out of the dorms the same day you graduate.
- Prior enlisted are given the option to stay and work over the summer, most likely doing pretty boring stuff.
-The AFA DOES NOT PAY for your ticket home nor for the ticket returning you to th AFA on I-Day.
-After that, you will report with the rest of the directs sometime late in June. FLT rosters will have 1 star if you are a preppie, two stars if you are a prior preppie. They know who you are.

So you only need provide a nomination from congress or that whole thing again, like when you first applied? Do you need to fill out the whole questionnaire again like your applying for the first time?

Also, this includes prior service cadet candidates.
