USCGA 2021 Appointments

I received a waitlist for the CGAS program, does anyone have a rough idea what are the odds of getting into it? Thanks!

^check out this thread from LY...I know for sure CGAS waitlisters can be notified at least 2 weeks prior to SDAY. ...Semper Paratus, Always Ready

If CGA is your first choice I would have several back up plans but ready to pounce on the chance when it is offered to you.

Given that there will be some applicants with conditional appointments that might still be medically disqualified there is always a chance. My son received a conditional appointment but his CGA contact said his DodMERB red flag (color deficiency) might be tough to get a waiver.

How long after the all the early action offers are posted do you think the admissions team will meet to review the first round of regular decision applicants?
Regular Admission begins right after the holiday break and decisions will normally begin to be released in early February.

Anyone have any thoughts as to when they will let the rest of us EA applicants know?
I'm happy to report all Early Action decisions have been released...congratulations to all those receiving appointments!

It's set by Coast Guard Headquarters and is not flexible, but could certainly be changed (usually increased) between now and R-Day.
Objee, are you able to tell us already how many applied EA, how many got direct or CGAS appointment, waitlist or CGAS waitlist, or is it too early?

Also, is the 295 the target number for the coming years too, or will the number eventually get smaller?

I plan to post some Early Action statistics when approved for release...usually early to mid-January. Coast Guard Headquarters usually forecasts two years, so incoming class size of 295 is probably for Classes of 2021 and 2022.
