The CGA has a significantly higher retention rate than the other SA's after the initial service commitment. (the five and dive) This higher retention is often credited the the greater responsibility junior officers have in the CG. She won't get lost in the crowd at the CGA or in the fleet. The incoming class will be 1/3 female, much higher than WP. At the CGA, you'll know everyone in your class and many in the class above and below you.

Officers don't re-sign for certain periods of time. They either continue on until they're no longer promoted, or they get out before that point.

I separated after five years.

Wow, two at CGA at the same time. You don't here that often! I'm hoping one of my younger kids will want to pursue this route but I'm not sure if I can go through this process again!

We have several pairs of siblings at CGA right now. It is a family. Siblings tend to follow because it is so tight knit and the opportunities are endless. My DS is a 4/C and loves it.

Eagerly (and anxiously) checking Bear's Den for my DS. Nothing yet, still awaiting completion of the CCEBR. I believe the Board meets on Thursday, so hoping they get to his today. His application was submitted back on 28 SEP 16.
