USCGA Admisions Liason

CGA has Coast Guard officers that serve as regional Admissions Officers (AO). http://www.uscga.edu/admissions2.aspx?id=2238
On a more local scale, CGA has volunteers called Admissions Partners. Partners provide assistance and information throughout the application and admission process. Partners also help with recruiting applicants through high school visits and attending college fairs. In addition, Partners conduct the optional admissions interview.
Partners can be:
Alumni of the Coast Guard Academy
Active duty and reserve personnel
Parents of current and former cadets
Members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary
Coast Guard civilian employees

Just to add a little more context, the admissions officers are stationed at the Coast Guard Academy. They handle certain regions. There are also admissions partners throughout the country, coordinated in regions. In my past experience as an admission partner, an active duty officer worked with the admissions office to staff events and interviews with Admission partners in the area.

Thank you both very much! I'm an incoming HS freshman and am trying to learn all the "ropes" of Service Academy related things.
