Hoping someone can clear up how to enter the information on the Recommendation when using the PFE score from AIM. It says to enter "AIM Program" as the name of the PFE Administrator and then AIMPFE@uscga.edu as the email. Using the Recommendation format that's given, do you enter "AIM" as the first name and "Program" as the last name considering both fields are required? It's a bit confusing....and then "PFE Administrator" for title and the email mentioned above? Any help would be appreciated.

Reach out to your admissions officer and ask them for clarification.

It doesn't really matter how you enter "AIM Program" for the name, but most enter "AIM" for first name and "Program" for last name; title is an optional field, so you can leave it blank. It's really only important to enter "AIMPFE@uscga.edu" for email address and "PFE Administrator" for relationship/type of recommendation.

What would be the benefits and downsides of using your PFE score from AIM? Is there a certain cut-off score recommended? I'd think a student would want to keep trying until they get the highest possible score, but perhaps I'm missing something more practical.

Some applicants did really well at AIM so can use that score if they wish too. Our cadet did very well at AIM and tried to get a higher score at home but was not able to. I think part of the reason is that they had others with them to push them along at AIM. At home it is just you and the coach so not the same atmosphere.

Not sure about this year, but in the past candidates were encouraged to submit their best PFE score with the application and then continue to test locally during the admissions cycle. If their score improved during their senior year in high school, the High School proctor could send the updated score form to the Admissions Officer (AO) and the highest score would be used in the admissions evaluation (similar to re-taking the ACT/SAT and the highest score being counted). Continuing to train, test, and improve is certainly a desirable trait in a academy candidate. As always, things are subject to change, with the best source of information for this years applicants being first, your applicant handbook and second your AO.

Lots of things can make it a better or worse option for you. If you get hurt in your fall sport at a time when you were expecting to put together a better performance, you'd be better off using AIM results. If you were out of shape in June but in monster condition after your school season you should take it later. Get one in just in case and then continue to work on it.
