I submitted my application two weeks ago and have a few questions. First, and the most obvious question, what are my chances of getting in? SAT: 630 Math, 710 Verbal, 650 Writing ACT: 28 Composite (28 math, 29 Reading, 25 Science, can't remember writing score) GPA: 4.01 (weighted), 3.8 (unweighted (I think, I'll double check that)) Class Rank: 50/300 Went to Boy's State (held a leadership position while there) Went to AIM (my cadre told me they wrote me an excellent recommendation) Went to Naval Academy Summer Seminar Varsity Lacrosse Captain and starting goalie NJROTC BN Commander "" Honor Guard Commander "" Color Guard Commander "" Drill Team, second in command last year "" Raider Team "" Exhibition Drill Team Member of NHS and Beta club Volunteer with the Virginia Defense Force (8-36 hours of community service/month) Blue belt in Aikido A few other awards PFE Scores: 57 push-ups 100 sit-ups 9:30 run Classes I'm taking this year: AP Calculus BC AP Physics AP Computer Science IB English HL IB History HL Naval Science IV Advanced German II Independent Study through Brigham-Young University (only way I could take IB English and still continue taking German this year) I've already been medically qualified for USMMA/USNA/USMA (2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice schools, backup is NROTC), but haven't heard back from USCGA yet I'm applying for Early Action. Also, I'm going up for Genesis on October 23rd Secondly, how is the Early Action program working this year? I understand that there is only one round of EA and if I'm not appointed I'll either get rejected or deferred to the waiting list. However, is it still rolling admissions? When is the earliest/latest I could hear back? Thirdly, will my grades this semester affect my application? I am taking 6 weighted classes this year (and German II as an independent study) compared to the 5 weighted classes I took last year. This would allow me to boost my GPA/class rank by several points.
