When will the first people begin to be notified of their early action application decisions?
He received a call directly from admissions a few days after attending the Cadet for a day program. Bears Den update followed a few days later. He was actually denied a place in AIM and thought his chances were slim.I did no know that they called, I thought it was just posted on Bears Den.......???
DS went through this last year.If anyone has an understanding of "rounds", I too would be interested in learning more about this. Thank you!
One more question, if you are not accepted during EA and your in an early "round" and it's just not the year for an individual for whatever reason, will the Academy let students know early as well or do they wait until 12/23 to receive rejection?
Plans B, C already in process-just wondering how early he should jump on plans D, E, F and so on...
Thank you!
Yep, it is the lucky few in EA and RA that get acceptance in the first / second round. For the rest, it is a slow stressful process. I am sure it is not much fun for admissions either once they get to the candidates that are all very qualified but they have to find reasons to pick one over another.Thank you. Very helpful......and stressful. Lol
So I'm a bit confused. I received the email in the middle of October saying my application would be reviewed in the next two weeks. But that doesn't necessarily mean my decision will come soon?
Nope. It all depends on what bucket (accepted, rejected, waitlisted) you're in. Just brace yourself and think the decision will come out in March.
If it comes out earlier, it will be a happy surprise.
Otherwise, you've prepared yourself mentally.
depends on when you submitted - DS submitted his app early sept (9/3)- from what i have heard he's in the second round pile ... i think less than 100 made it to review for the first round and the appointment count isn't enough to legally drink ... here's to all the new ulcers and grey hairs ... good luck
I texted DS to ask if he heard anything ... i got "patience young grasshopper" as a replyMy DS submitted on 9/28, so he may be in a later round. But, his chin is up. Remember, Tom Brady was selected in the 6th round so there is hope
I guess we'll sit and wait, and you're right about the gray hairs. Jeez, he seems more relaxed than my wife and I are.
