Long story. My DS submitted his application on Jan 15, but he didn't take the PFE till Feb 14. His PE teacher wasn't available for a period of time. The AO emailed us several times asking for the PFE. My son finally took it on 2/14, which is the deadline for the PFE. He only scored a B and he wanted a retake. The AO said Ok. But then there was the winter break and the PE teacher was out again afterwards. My son didn't end up taking another test. I guess his application was in limbo for a while. On March 9, we received a message saying his application had been scheduled for review. He was then contacted for an interview on March 13. The acceptance letter came in Bear's Den on March 20, but we didn't know until the AO called on 3/21.

Congrats on the appointment! Your son must have been on their radar for awhile.

There's still hope until you get the TWE, and really up until Report Day! Over 50% on list above are undecided or declined and I'm fairly certain larger list that doesn't include those on Forum has a similar percentage of undecideds/declines.

Congrats!! Your DS application must have really made an impression. I was told that all test scores and PFE had to be in by 2/1. I tried to improve my PFE score one last time before 2/1 but the HS Lacross team had equipments all over the track and I couldn't beat my previous score by 1 point. I was hoping to raise the PFE one last time before 2/1. Congrats on your son's appointment and wish me luck joining him this summer.

Thanks! Sorry to hear about the track situation when you tried to improve your PFE. Sometimes things are out of our control. I don't know how important the PFE score is. My son's running score was terrible, but it was cold and windy that day. His teacher wrote a note and also suggested a retest. But the AO didn't seem concerned. I guess it's fine as long as the score is in certain range. So don't worry about it. Best of luck to you!

My daughter was given an appointment, she received a phone call from AO. We are awaiting a medical waiver as well. She will be accepting once the waiver process is completed!

My son's interview just showed up on Bear's Den as completed 2 days ago. He did it 3 weeks ago. Does this mean his file will now be reviewed because it is completed? Perhaps the delay in the interviewer getting feedback to USCGA has caused delay? Input?

I would also want to know the answer to this question because I had submitted my application in early November but my PFE was not put in by AO until jan. From what I understand the competitive majors go fast :confused:
 
I unfortunately do not know the particulars on that topic but I do remember admissions saying to get your application in quickly in order to have a better chance at receiving your intended major.
 
I know this an appointment thread but something I am interested in is has anyone actually recieved a rejection during the regular admissions timeline?
