Adjustment to 5). DS finally got through the DODMERB process after a couple of procedural hurdles. Very thankful.

I received a full appointment December 20 and haven’t received the BFE yet. Should I be worried?

Did you go to your portal and check the appropriate box? My DD was notified of her appointment early November and by January still hadn’t received her BFE. She didn’t realized until she received a phone call from admissions that she needed to do this. Just received her BFE today. Hope this helps.

My DD submitted her package Oct 14. Received phone call on Dec 7 telling her and official package Dec 15

I received an email saying that my app will be forwarded to the CCEB in the next two weeks this Monday. But I still have not received any email from DoDMERB about my medical exams. I passed both USAFA and USMMA dodmerb exams. Should I be worried about it?

No, I think you're good if you already have a Qualified status. You may need to send an updated COVID form when they generate the USCGA DodMerb request.

The way they did it last year is that appointments are given all the way up to March 31st, but on April 1st they released rejections and waitlists.

RA applicants are notified by April 1st, not necessarily on April 1st. If you look at the class of 2024 appointment thread, people were getting notifications about their RA appointments starting around 2/20. So many of us are thinking the class of 2025 will follow suit and we'll start getting updates to this list any minute now! Very exciting!

The USCGA Alumni Association hosted a Lunch and Learn zoom session with Admiral Kelly today. The class of 2025 was not the focus of the zoom session, but he said a few things that might be of interest to 2025 candidates and those who already have appointments.
1) They expect the 2025 class to be around 285.
2) As of now, I-Day is 28 June 2021.
3) At this point, he is not expecting incoming swabs to have been vaccinated when they arrive.
4) In his words, USCGA will need to "throw out" the playbook for swab summer 2019 and also for 2020. They recognize that most incoming swabs might never have been on campus which is different than most previous incoming classes.

We vacationed in Cape Cod last year and drove past the USCGA. That’s the closest my DS got to actually see it. It was in a beautiful setting, saw some recruits working out in the front yard.

We were lucky enough to visit a few times. It’s a very nice campus. The view of the water from down by the athletic fields is beautiful.
