Hello, new to this forum. What is DS? I will update list shortly, son received direct appointment today, class of ‘27.

Question for people that have had previous kids in Academy, looking at leave dates, for example, Thanksgiving is Wednesday-Sunday. Anyone know if they are released at a decent time on the Tuesday prior to travel that evening?

Congrats to your DS! (DS means dear son, DD is dear daughter, etc.) I was offered an appointment today as well and from some basic digging through the forums I’ve gathered that leave is given after LMO (last military obligation), so it really depends on what your DS is involved in. There are a few posts on hear where cadets have offered to answer any questions people have that are excellent resources.
