Dropped my Kid off at the USNA in June of 2015 and it looks like she will finally deploy sometime in 2022. She is tight lipped these days, but I know from her job type she will be on a carrier, headed to the PAC.

My question to SWO and Aviation Types: Was there anything really cool, fun, or useful that you'd recommend a father give his JO Daughter by way of a birthday-gift before she sets sail for a long deployment?

Well, my Navy experience is limited to anecdotes of colleagues, what my son learned when he was interested in the Navy, and my dad (hopefully things have gotten better since WWII), but, a responding admonition seems to be "if you don't absolutely need it, don't take it".

You say she'll be on a carrier, which is a small city by comparison to other Navy ships, so she'll have a lot of what she needs available to buy or get issued when she needs it. Additionally, she'll be able to get mail somewhat ahead of sailors on other types of ships, so you can send her stuff as she needs it.

Rather than buying stuff, do this. Create a slide show/movie with every picture of every event in her life up until now. That way, when out at sea and lonely, she can whip out her device of choice and look down memory lane.

Oh, and since shes a female, maybe a supply of her preferred feminine hygiene products (I have 3 females in my house, and they all seem to have their preference in this area). No guarantee her NEX on the carrier will have her preference.
