A young man who interns at my workplace is starting at the USAFA prep school next week. He has been trying to find out how to have third-party scholarship money that he was awarded (the check is apparently made out directly to him) applied to his account to help cover the cost of uniforms, books, etc. but hasn't had luck talking to anyone at the prep school who can provide him with much information. He has been told that he needs to work through the US Treasury department. Has anyone had experience with this? If so, any suggestions for a good contact person? I'm double-posting this on both the Prep School forum and the USAFA forum in hopes of a response.
