Hello everyone,

I am a current Junior in high school and hoping to attend USMA at West Point for the class of 15. I just found out about this website yesterday, at the Academy Day in CT that I went to (it was a great, really informative experience that any prospective future service academy cadet should attend!). And well, my current resume goes as follows:

Cross Country Captain/Varsity
Softball JV
Newspaper Editor in Chief
Literary Magazine
Beta Club
National Honor Society
Model UN
6 Years of Marching Band
GPA: 3.7
PSAT: 85th percentile, I believe, I can't remember the exact. But I plan on taking ACT/SAT this year... and doing much better.
50+ hours volunteering at the hospital
Soup Kitchen Volunteer
EMT/MRT Volunteer
Tae Kwon Do Black Belt
Soccer Travel/Rec 9 years
Freshman English Award
CAPT Math (303/400), Science (336/400), Reading across the disciplines (338/400), Writing across the disciplines (377/400) ADVANCED (Level 5)
Scholar Athlete
Part Time Job

I plan on attending the American Leagion Auxillary Girl's State this year...

Is there anything else I should add to my resume? (Besides my SAT/ACT) or does it look pretty decent?

Welcome to the forums! Your record looks pretty good. Try for some more community stuff. Other than that, you look pretty solid. That being said, always try and add new stuff to your record, for that can only increase your competitiveness. Hope that helps.

Thank you. Great that you said that, I just joined up to another community service club at school. Of course not just for the record, I actually enjoy the activities we do such as a town cider press, and volunteering at the senior centre. :) I see you are prospective 14, hopefully maybe we'll see eachother at the academy in the future!

Thanks. maybe we will see each other at the academy someday, that would be cool. I see some of these other people here, and I find myself kind of inferior to their accomplishments. So if I dont make it this year, 2015 will be a much better try in terms of competitiveness. Hows your CFA score? Always get started on that early.
