My DS's portal showed the appointment offer yesterday when he checked. He had not checked the portal on 2/13 so it might have been there then but it definitely was not there on 2/12. USMA works quickly though- he has a big, thick priority mail envelope from them that arrived today, just waiting for him to get home from track practice. So excited to see what is in it!!

Our DD did not get to see the portal as she was in the field. She came up to the Army/Navy game straight from the field and was presented with her BFE in front of her family after the game- cousins who attend USNA, uncles who went to USNA, and her proud muggle parents who live on USMA.

For those who don't get in this time, it's not the end of the world.

Our DD... it's a long story. She's enlisted now but will be coming back from a deployment early for R-Day. She was not accepted the first time.

I was a successful ROTC officer. I was recruited by USMA but blew them off. My wife is still a successful ROTC officer who loves West Point with all her heart (we aren't sure what she will do when she grows up).

If, for some reason you are not accepted and this is what you truly want apply again. No one cares what your age is when you get to a SA. History is full of successful officers who came from the ranks. My uncle was a pall bearer for one.
