It appears that we now have at lease one appointment for the class of 2023, but didn't notice the the self-reporting thread, so thought I would add one.

HOW TO ADD A NAME: This is self-reporting, self-updating and DIY. Mods don't update the list (kindly posters occasionally do, but the burden falls on posters). Copy the most recent list, paste into new post, add a number, enter your info in a similar format, post.

FORMAT:
xxnumber) SAF forum name / Self, DD, DS / LOA or No LOA / Date Notified of Appointment / Accepted, Declined, or Undecided / State / Nomimation Source(s) / Direct Appointment, Prep School, College Re-Applicant, Etc. (items that are perenial topics)

SAMPLE:
1) Go2023 / Self / LOA / 24-Oct-2018 / Accepted / NY / Congressional / Direct Appointment

Can you list you district (eg, FL-8)

That may make someone more identifiable, which is not necessarily what that poster desires nor what is expected on an anonymous forum.

Thanks FMHS-79, appreciate the guidance and the correction on the district thing, didn't cross my mind about the anonymous thing.

Hi all,
I have a question. My DD received an LOA on 5 Oct. She is a prior applicant for the Class of 2022. She just needs to complete her CFA and have it submitted by 11/30. Our Rep. office has contacted her about her LOA, and sounds like her nomination is all but complete. She is currently on a 3 year ROTC scholarship, and the LOA letter literally caught us off guard. I am not sure if I should fill out the self appointment above, although I know she will accept it. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself. Thoughts?

@SignalSoldier Wait until the BFE arrives to post on the appointment thread. Best wishes to your girl w/ finishing her application.

What @DrMom said. Don’t jinx it! Wait until offer of appointment is firmly in hand. To quote one Michael Scott from “The Office”: “Am I superstitious? I’d say I’m just a little stitious.”
