USMA class of 2029 waiting, watching and optimism

Seems early. Most are still in the thick of wrapping up applications and waiting for nomination interviews. Just a slow time of year.

There is a long way to go, but candidates should be finishing their applications and might be getting noms.

Ds has an LOA with a date of Nov 20th. The last piece to be done is his chem professor's evaluation. She told him to keep bugging her until she did it. I hope today's the day!

Still haven't heard about nom interviews yet. That schedule should be out by the end of the week. He didn't get a nom last year so that is the biggest/and least-controllable element for him.

I just completed my CFA with a little above average in everything. Still waiting on a waiver I will probably get and my nomination process continue. Good luck!

West Point application, interview and CFA completed. Still waiting to get medically qualified and nomination interviews. Good luck!

Nomination received, DoDMERB and interview passed, waiting to hear back about my CFA! Has anyone in the Northeast region received appointment yet?

Same for me! Waiting on a waiver (hopeful but seems unlikely...) and a nomination (very hopeful!). It seems a waiver is the only thing holding me back from fulfilling my LOA :(
How long did it take for DoDMERB to tell you if you have passed? I completed my exams in the beginning of October and am still seeing “Waiting For Initial Medical Receipt” in the DoDMERB portal page.

I completed my DODMERB early August and received news in late August. I believe that because I finished mine early they were able to get to it faster as there were less DODMERB files. I couldn't really tell ya!

Sheesh, I wish all teachers understood the importance of the SOEs.

Has DoDMETS transmitted it to DoDMERB? And does DODMETS have it? If they don’t, then you should probably talk to the offices that did the exam.

On the DoDMETS portal page is says that my Case is Complete and they have my exams. I’m assuming they just haven’t sent it to DoDMERB yet. I’ve called and they told me it was just a waiting process. Do I need to call again?

Let them do their jobs. They are responsible for reviewing the exams for accuracy and completeness. They probably upload in batches to DoDMERB.

This is the time in the cycle when thousands of data chunks are flowing regarding thousands of applicants into DoDMETS, then on to DoDMERB, who then has to evaluate each one per the standard - and generate more waiting time for the candidate. Then the results are available to the requesting SA(s), and the candidate waits again until the candidate-facing portal is updated.

If there are DQs, AMI and waivers involved, the process can go into May or June. DoDMERB does not have to be complete by candidate application submission deadline. A candidate’s record can be reviewed and evaluated without DoDMERB and nominations.

Your exam is not lost; it was completed in good time. DoDMETS has done this for years. And years. Now, you just wait, recalibrating expectations from Amazon Prime delivery to the other end of the spectrum. You really don’t want them to rush and make errors.

Just got my LOE, I am "3 Q" and I am waiting for my MOC to update me on my nominations. When I started this application process I doubted that I could even be considered, but now I go in with cautious optimism in hopes that I can get appointed. I wish all my fellow cadet candidates good luck and I hope that you all get the good news that you deserve.
