My son was fortunate to be paired up with a Glee Club cadet at his recent overnight visit due to his interest in Glee Club if he is appointed. He enjoyed meeting and was impressed by Glee Club Director Connie Chase. Here's a link to a very interesting and long (more than one hour) interview (April 2019) with the 20+ year director Ms. Chase. There is also a short summary which is helpful.
Very interesting stories about the cadets performing at Ground Zero 9/11 commemoration, etc. and also useful information about selection process, rehearsal schedule, past year's performance schedule, etc.
It was a big surprise to my son (from what he heard - take it with a grain of salt) that Glee Club has more exemptions (authos???) from drill, etc. than anyone but the football team. But after watching the video I see how high-profile the Club is in playing a very significant Ambassador role for the Academy, requiring extensive rehearsal and traveling.

Recommended viewing for anyone interested in Glee Club or the incredible opportunities available to cadets.
