USMA SAT w/ Essay Policy

Does West Point still require an SAT score w/ essay considering the essay altogether was cancelled in January 2021?
 
On the candidate home page it states, "If taking the SAT, you are not required to take the essay assessment. SAT will no longer offer the essay assessment after June 2021." ACT w/ essay is required however👍
