@DrMom @Capt MJ The reason for separation aside, do you know if it is it possible for a separated Academy student to repay the debt by going back to college, getting a student deferment for the debt, complete their bachelors, and commissioning through OCS? They would go in as an officer and still service the time.

And I copied and pasted below what I said in an earlier post - much depends on if the person is recommended for any other commissioning program, any service.

In the attachments, note the mention of DD Form 785, the recommendations for other commissioning programs. That is critical. But if not recommended, might be waiverable further down the road.
