USMA to USNA Medical Translation

Hello,

I am writing to inquire about how the medical process is conducted throughout different service academies. I received a waiver from West Point months ago, but have still not been pursued medically by the USNA. If USNA decides to request medical, will their waiver process take as long as West Point's did? Or will the waiver from WP be accepted by USNA?

The fact you received a waiver for WP has zero bearing on whether you will receive one for USNA. For example, colorblindness isn’t an issue for WP; it’s a huge issue for USNA. USNA doesn’t evaluate medical waivers until it’s reasonably likely to offer you an appointment. I don’t know how WP approaches the issue. If USNA decides to pursue a waiver, the time it will take depends in part in the complexity of your medical issue and in part on resources av to conduct the review.
