Usmaps Appointments

Hello agamejb, I received notification of my acceptance into USMAPS a few days ago. I would be glad to touch base with you. Please pm me.

I was accepted in February. I was looking forward to meeting others going too, so feel free to inbox.

USMAPS

You USMAPS Candidates are in for a treat! What a great opportunity. Many of my lifelong friends are Prepsters. Take the academics seriously and enjoy the time. Build friendships that will carry you through the rough times. It's really great to know people in the entire Corps. Build a FB site and start networking now.

Thanks

Yes sir. I will take your advice about that sir. Actually, there is a USMAPS Class of 2015 facebook page already created. There are only 11 members so far in the group. That's why I was coming on here to get more people networked with the others in the group.

Stevewar2, could you speak on the topic of USMAPS as in what to expect on Rday, CCBT, and throughout the year? I saw that you are, indeed, a USMAPS graduate. That's amazing sir!

My USMAPS experience is very dated. Also, I was a prior service guy, so did not do the initial few weeks that enlisted reserves did. However, I can speak to the overall experience. They actually have WP Cadets run the Prep School training now (not sure if they still have drill Sgts to assist). The first semester is geared to getting the SAT/ACT scores elevated. Second semester focused on being successful in Plebe math/English. The facilities are incredible! My advice is to nail the academic opportunities, get your standardized scores up, max the APFT and get to know everyone of your USMAPS classmates.
