I am currently applying to the USNA and USMMA classes of 2027. I plan to pursue a career as a Navy EOD officer after I graduate. I know that USNA typically has around 15 billets or so each year for EOD, and would likely be the best option. However, I really think I'd rather attend USMMA than USNA, because of the sea year, and the smaller class sizes. Does anyone have any information on how difficult it is to be selected for an EOD cruise and later an EOD Billet from USMMA. Are there any slots historically? Do many even apply out of USMMA? Thanks in advance for any answers.
