Does USMMA have a stated date when a candidate can expect to receive a response? The other SA seem to indicate either 4/1 or 4/15 but I can't find any date on the USMMA website.

My DS's Rep said "Offers for applicants in the HOLD category should be determined by early April."

My brother received his appointment May 1st, so there is a wide range of when appointees find out. This might be because some decline their appointments. But anyway, my point is that it may take longer than expected.

The National College Acceptance Deadline is in early May so the majority of the offers of appointment are handed out by that date, with the bulk being in April. Don't count USMMA out though, because I received my appointment on May 8th and a good friend of mine got his eight days before Indoc. @River627 is right, you will probably wait a bit longer for a response from USMMA that other schools, but do not count them out until you receive official confirmation of a denial.

Also make sure to keep in contact with your Admissions Officer and keep them updated on any other achievements you receive that can be added to your package, every little bit helps. Good Luck!

I wrote this for a similar question earlier today:

My understanding is that Principal Appointments are made through April. Appointments must be accepted by Acceptance Day the first week of May (not sure the exact date this year).

In previous years, there have been about 100 Principals who have declined or have not responded by acceptance day. A second round of appointments will go out in May to fill the declined positions. This can go into June.

Last year my DS was notified via email from the recruiting officer April 29, a Saturday, that he was accepted. The BFE came Monday. He accepted via email and by mail just to be safe.

My DS was fully qualified on hold for about 6 weeks prior to his appointment. I know how you are feeling. Once the appointment comes, get ready for the ride! It comes fast.

This is the hardest part. The wait.

Our son got his acceptance 27 April last year, many got their notification in May.

Hang in there.

Our son got a call from his Congressman at school notifying him before USMMA contacted him.
