USMMA Appointment

Two days after his portal said "Principal Fully Qualified", the envelope came. Very quick! I'm sure it will be a little longer getting to Guam, but I wouldn't expect too much longer.
I am still undecided on my decision to USMMA; although, I am stoked on what my future holds. Is there any way I can visit USMMA with a scholarship (payed flights from Guam) like the CVW of USNA?

Nobody is going to pay for your flight from Guam except for day zero at the academy. I've taken the flight from New York to Guam, it was painful, I wouldn't want to do it for no reason even if the flights are free. I think I spent about 17 hours of straight flying time, and the time change killed me. Just show up on Day zero, the visit is a waste of time and will probably only discourage you from going there.

While I didn't live in Guam, when I was appointed, living in California, it really was not practical for me to show up for any early visits. I showed up on Day Zero, on my own, but I was pretty sure that KP was where I wanted to go at that point, anyway.
