DS had an LOA in in November, several medical DQs to get through. He received his appointment shortly after the Waivers were granted. We actually paid for one visit b/c we wanted it done quickly. There is hope! Our son has LOA and nomination. Medical exam completed Jan. This is the first time we are directly helping him with the process because he is doing great and really wants it. He has ran smack into govt bureacracy and has never experienced it before. His optometry test is last hurdle and has been a nightmare to schedule. CIV sent him to wrong place in December and second location has been crazy to sched as well. Finally got a spot, but they said April 13th just to see him (eyes all good)! This doesn’t feel right and we don’t want him missing his dream due to call center antics for a twenty minute exam. Taking a day off work to help intervene because he is dumbfounded and stressed over it. Anyone ever experienced this? Any words of wisdom?
