USMMA Prep question

Hello, I’m currently a candidate on hold. I’ve been researching this forum for a while now to find out about how USMMA goes about running a prep program. Much of what I’ve seen states that if you are a candidate who would be interested in going to a preparatory program, you must let admissions know. Is this true? Or does that process work similarly to other academies where no candidate input is involved? Thank you

With my DS he was in constant contact with his Admissions office and at one point he mentioned that he wasn't opposed to being a sponsored prep. I am not 100% sure when the mentioned this because they did converse allot during the process. He also was on hold until June 12 when they offered him NMMI. We had plan A and Plan B all in place. Lost deposits ..Hope this helps.
