My DS is also at Marion as a sponsored USMMA prep... it is an incredible school and will do very much for your DS or DD. I highly recommend it!

How many self preps are at Marion this year with hopes of attending USMMA? What is their percentage of prepsters that get an appointment after completing their program at Marion?

I think their percentage of appointments for both sponsored and non-sponsored preps is 99 to 100%. Check out this page on their website (https://marionmilitary.edu/sap-appointment-history/). This year there are 3 or 4 sponsored kids and maybe 8 self-preps for USMMA but I'm not sure... I'm just going by what my son told me.

If you contact MMI and NMMI directly, they will give you all the numbers. Both have excellent success. For most people the choice between the two is geography-based.

That's what pushed by decision was geography. I get live in CO so NMMI is about 6.5 hours away from home driving.

Geography wasn't even looked at for my DS. We are in PA and they offered him and he went to NMMI. Marion would have been much closer and easier.
I am not sure how they choose where when they offer.
