For those who are planning to visit USNA over the Columbus Day WE, I have only the following to say:
Sailboat show + Air Force game + tiny roads of Annapolis = Unmitigated Traffic Disaster!
If you intend to go to the game, plan to arrive -- as in be inside the stadium -- AT LEAST 2.5 hours early b/c it will take you much longer than you expect to get there unless you can walk. Going downtown in a car . . . forget it. Trying to find anyplace in DTA to eat . . . not happening.
The game, the boat show, etc. -- it's all super fun in its own way. In my day, they gave free Boat Show admission to mids and it was neat checking out all of the boats. If you decide to stay in and around town, patience is key . . . as is being prepared to walk. O/w, take the advice above and get outta town.
