USNA appointment after April 1?

I find myself in a very odd situation and I'm hoping that someone can help me understand it. DoDMERB didn't let me schedule my medical exams until very recently because of a technology mistake by USNA admissions where they didn't send my name through to DoDMERB. Because of this, my exams were taken very recently and are still under review by a CIV Team case manager at DoDMETS. If I have still not heard anything from USNA, is that a good thing? Would the Naval Academy be allowed to deny or waitlist me without my medical completely in? Everyone seems to have gotten their decisions already and I'm starting to think that maybe once my medical finally goes through, I'm just going to get immediately denied. Very nervous.

Since they are now making waitlist assignments, I would assume that means they are through offering appointments? Seems counter intuitive that you would still issue appointments if you are making waitlist offers?

It is possible to receive an offer that is conditional on your passing the medical exam or receiving a waiver. You can be evaluated by the board without full clarity on the medical situation and they would see that you are IN PROCESS.

I know everyone wants a clear answer and are making lots of guesses about waves. I wouldn’t spend a lot of energy on that. A wait list offer goes out without any need to give a MOC time to notify a candidate. Remember SAs gives MOCs a few days to notify a candidate prior to a portal update. There could be some BFEs out there still. They could be debating some last spots for NAPS, Foundation, Wait list, BFEs or TWEs. I know it’s even harder to wait with everyone at home right now and not the typical school day with friends, planning proms and graduations. A good officer plans for many courses of action... hope for your Plan A and always have a solid Plan B. Good luck to everyone.

Here is last year's appointment thread so you can see just a small sample of what happened at the end of the admission cycle last year:

Also, NAPS and Foundation students who will join the class of 2024 will start to come out in the next few weeks also.

They do happen. Realistically more TWEs will happen than BFEs at this point, but it doesn’t mean no appointments will be given either. Also we haven’t seen the wait list been given out yet either.
Now that the waitlist is out, what do you think?

My answer still stands. Take a look at last year’s appointment list. You will see some late cycle appointments, they are definitely less in number than TWEs.
I think you're totally right. As a CPR still standing after the waitlist announcement, do you think my odds have increased or decreased. I am also waiting to hear back about a medical waiver for DoDMERB, which may play a part (I have received help from the incredible Mr. Mullen on the DoDMERB side)

So, there are still spots for NAPS and Foundation students?? If I’m reading that correctly, it’s a huge relief to know that those are still options.

Until you receive a decision you are still in the game. What I actually said is that the current class of NAPS and Foundation students have not received their appointments yet. They usually get theirs late in the admissions cycle. Hang in there, everyone will know one way or another soon.

He got it around 930 am PST, but that is when he woke up so it may have come earlier.
I’m assuming when you say late cycle appointments you aren’t counting ones with LOAs waiting on waivers?

I am also still waiting on hearing back and I was in CPR since December. If I did not hear anything back yet from USNA does anyone happen to know if that means I am not 3’Q or more likely to get a TWE? I never received any information on whether or not I am 3’Q but I know I am medically qualified through DoD.
