Usna appointment received today!

DS is a sponsored Foundation prep at NMMI in Roswell, New Mexico. I read in a recent Forum post that the USNA Foundation preps' files went before the Academy Admissions Board last Thursday, April 11. And today...April 15, our Congressman (OH 1) who nominated DS to USNA called him in New Mexico to tell him he's been appointed to the USNA Class of 2017!!!!:smile: :smile::smile:

It was a year ago today, April 15, 2012, that DS received the call from USNA Admissions office offering him the Foundation slot.:thumb:

April 16 my son received his official telephone call from Senator Susan Collins! What a great day my son had at Foundation Prep School, Wyoming Seminary. It's been a long year as a PG student but a great year for personal growth and development...and the knee healed up so he become part of the USNA Class of 2017! Proud mama!
 
Congratulations and welcome aboard to all new appointees! It also is great to hear that the Foundation program is working as advertised - as is NAPS.
 
The foundation is a great program. DS got his call yesterday while at Greystone.
 
Bravo! Can't wait to shake your hand (or good ole southern hug) on I-day! Oh, and congratulations on being a great parent as well!
