First, to those very few who've received the grand Christmas gift of a USNA offer of appointment ... CONGRATULATIONS! That gift and its timing have made for an incredibly merry, memorable Holy-Day Season-!- :angel:

And for those many, many more USNA candidates spending this Season of Hope hoping, waiting and watching, well this thread should also provide especially HOPE!

"How so?" the anxious, agonized wannabe Mid masses might ask???

Consider this ... there are a mere 26 names on this list thus far! Many states have nothing to show yet. This from approximately 1,500 who will get the BFE before this leg of the journey ends on I-Day some 6 months from now.

The point is that there are but a handful engaged in this process who've actually heard thus far. Most ... make that MOST ... have not! Nothing! Nahda! But not "NO!" :wiggle:

So, as 2013 approaches, be of good cheer! Be like the 3 wise men! Keep careful watch for that Star in the sky and that star rising above the Navy "N!" And remember that even those 3 magi men did not KNOW when their Saving Grace would arrive. Believe that your Navy "Christmas" is yet to come. For a great many of you, it will.

So, keep your faith. :worship:

Stay the course. Fair winds and follow sea in this special year that ends in 1-3!

Thank you Whistle Pig! Some candidates and their parents need to be reminded of this from time to time. My DS won't even read the forums, while they can be very informative and inspiring, can also be confusing and frustrating. Meanwhile, college acceptances are starting to come in from excellent schools...however DS finds it hard to get excited while he still waits on USNA.

USNA Class of 2017 Appoinment Thread

I just looked up this same thread from last year and as of December 31, 2011 there were 24 appointments recorded, so it seems as if we are running at about the same pace as last year.
