Almost everything was submitted in December. But the last pieces (some teacher recs and the HS counselor portion) were uploaded by February 22. DoDMERB was done in November followed by a technical DQ for the acne medicine until requisite paperwork from the doc was submitted to DoDMERB clearing the way for a qualified.

Fingers crossed here too! But, I have to say, moving full steam ahead with Plan B (College Programmer if NROTC falls through too) has helped us a lot. We are passing the time getting to know the battalion, picking out dorms, going for a self-guided walking tour, etc. It’s kind of exciting 😊. Go Illini 🧡💙 !
 
Can I ask a question (well, I'm going to ask - feel free to not answer, haha)...

How many candidates are here waiting with NO LOA? I know there are lots of DDs, DSs and parents in the forum and only a fraction actually post. It seems that the majority of the posters are waiting on waivers but have LOAs. I have been wanting to ask because you know, perception is reality. 🤪

I'm wondering if the postal service in its typical awesomeness as of late has just been holding onto a TWE and we've just been hanging out here for fun. As much as I do love you all. I keep telling my DD that she's still in it until she's told she's not.

I just needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for letting me vent.

@Capt MJ - I think it's time for another interlude! 😭🥴😬
 
No LOA here and waiting. My older son never had a LOA and was called with an appointment around the first week in February 2018, but the timeline is obviously backed-up this year for a number of reasons.

DS is still waiting with no LOA. We’re visiting plan B this week on spring break and hoping that distracts us! Honestly, he is handling it better than his dad and I. We are on pins and needles, and he’s just casually checking his portal every few days and telling us this is his first military test to hurry up and wait!

My DD seems to be handling better than me... She just wants to know so she can get her mind in the right space. She has some offers, still waiting on others. Weird thing is, she doesn't really care too much about going to visit other schools right now. She said that if she doesn't get in this year, wherever she is next year will just be temporary because she's going to be applying again. And again, if need be. I hope it doesn't come to that, but it's not up to me (or any of us).

Waiting here in Texas with no LOA. Neither my USAFA or USNA applications have been updated since December!

No LOA for my son either.
 
Hi! I may need an intervention too soon, I feel your pain! My son is hanging in limbo waiting also with no LOA. I posted a few minutes ago wondering if they haven't heard anything by now if that is a good sign that they are still in the running. In other words, if they were not considered for an appointment, would they have heard already? Ugh..... Hang in there and good luck!
 
No offense to all of you, but this is an "Appointment" thread. You should take the "waiting" posts and move them to a new thread for USNA "waiting" like was done for the USAFA applicants:

The Friday musical interlude for those patiently waiting to post appointments and watching for activity, to keep the focus on list-making.

I encourage someone to start a USNA Waiting...And Waiting... thread per @TheRightStuff suggestion. Then everyone can wonder out loud to their heart’s content.

I have limited permission from the OP to randomly inject musical interludes to lighten the silence.
