During my son’s cycle he inquired about reporting ASVAB scores. While his was high enough to keep recruiters calling me well into his youngster year, it wasn’t a data point that any of the academies he applied to wanted.Same thing for my son but I still think they added it; we had ASVAB scores, updated transcripts and other extracurriculars. They did add in a 3rd SAT score so I know they are touching these!! Good luck all!!!
It was always fun when they called and asked what he was doing and had he considered the military. I would tell them where he was and they would typically pause and then say something along the lines of “oh so he decided to serve. Congratulations to him”. I always thanked them for reaching out. It can be a thankless job for recruiters.
I found it interesting that academies didn’t want the score or need it. It is such a hot button for recruitment for enlisted ranks and nuclear recruiting.
