DS is still showing CPR. I'm assuming like everything else that there is still a chance it will change to waitlist. If not, will it remain CPR until he receives the TWE? He already accepted an appointment to the USMMA. Still hoping to hear something positive from the USNA.

I would bet that at this stage of waiting there are more than the 10-15% because people start finding us as they wait and Google. And also, since there was no notification of being WL other than stalking the portal, it's possible there are other WL candidates that are not refreshing their portal every 10 minutes like we do who don't yet know they made it.

Yes, people here have posted that they found out sooner but I think they are trying to manage our expectations by saying mid-May because it's less likely we'd find out before then. This prevents 120 candidates from calling them every week to say "how 'bout now????"

My suggestion, from me as a WL mom and my son as an WL applicant, is to heed advice in the letter, and move forward to your alternate plans. With vigor. Don’t wait. And move along from the obsession of your portal.

They my pull one off. The may pull 10 off. NO way to know. At all. It all depends upon variables out of their control, quite frankly.

Most likely, some of you are waiting to see if an appointee accepts or not. They have until May to decide. So that makes sense that May is busy for the WL.

My son was pulled Mid May. He had his dorm. Roommate. Food plan. Slide for his graduation presentation. Allllll Plan B. It took 1 hr to make all the changes, cancel dorms, email info to his school for grad presentation, etc that he needed to do.

I’ve stated before, his WL had one pulled TWO DAYS before reporting. It happens!!

But don’t rob yourself of getting excited for Plan B. And don’t obsess daily over the WL. If you are pulled, you will be notified. But mentally moving forward , VS stuck in the past, will help with feeling joyful in your last weeks with your class.
