USNA Color blind waiver

They literally come out of the blue. My son received his last January.

Here's what I learned. They only give about 24 per class. Some go to recruited athletes. Most don't seem to hear until after April 15 so that the superintendent can look at the class and see where he has room.

Here's the good news. This waiver appears to be the one that if you receive it you are getting appointed. Since they can only have up to 2% of the class with this waiver, they do not give them just to put you in the pool like other waivers.

Mine is waiting too but also on his shoulder waiver. 6 months will be on 8/3 since the shoulder surgery.
 
today my portal changed. It usually says "complete medical qualification exam" under the required actions tab but now it says "none". My status is still complete pending review so I'm wondering if it means anything.
 
Mine Changed when I got a waiver. Check your DODMERB portal.

Edit- just for clarification my waiver was not for being color blind.

How long after your son received his waiver did he receive his appointment?
