One of my varsity teammates was dating a woman from the French Embassy in DC so Diplomatic Plates allowed rapid rides up RT50 on
quite a few Saturday nights.

Pro Tip: Mids returning from liberty in the final half hour or so get a LOT more scrutiny than folks who slither back in an hour early.
I, um heard from a friend that even Youngsters manage to drive cars into the yard (Gate 8) wearing civvies without incident if they avoid that "hot hour" going through the gate.
