I had my congressional nomination interview last week and to be honest, it was a fair, but not outstanding interview. It has been about half a year since my somewhat spontaneous decision to apply to USNA, and I am now more seriously considering the academy. I now regret not applying for senatorial nominations because I'm afraid I won't get a congressional one. However, when I had my BGO interview, I was told that because there are so many other Maryland applicants, it IS possible for me to receive an offer of appointment without a nomination if there are spots left open in May or June. Is this true?
