Maybe a dumb question but does anyone know if the "Anchors Aweigh" sound file specific to the USNA phone app is available for download anywhere. It's an awesome version. The one on Navy.mil is ok but doesn't quite come close.
 
If it's a choral version, it's probably the USNA Glee Club, men's, women's or combined. There are many CDs. Amazon has them, as does USNA Visitor Center and Mid Store.

Long way around, but some nice choral music as a bonus.
 
Thank you. Actually the version on the app is an instrumental only version but I did manage to find some other good stuff on Amazon. USNA version is still my favorite though...
 
@grahamtorr65, I just listened to it on my USNA app. I agree it is awesome. If you attend the parades during Plebe Summer to watch your DS, you will hear it live performed by the Naval Academy Band.
 
Trust me... We're counting the days. His appointment was/is the proudest moment of my life (after the blessings of all my kids). His younger brother is hoping for USAFA. If and when that happens, I'll barely be able to contain myself. [emoji16]
 
I've wondered the same thing grahamtorr. Somehow need to contact the folks who made the app. I've wanted that as an alarm since the app went live!

Did you also search "Naval Academy Band" on Amazon? You'll get quite a selection there of straight instrumental.
 
I use Zedge for ring tones. Anchors Aweigh is in there, I have it for my son when he calls me.
