Obviously the West Point ground crew has a USNA plant. These pictures were the tail end of the oath ceremony on The Plain. Yes, that's the USMA Sup, Comm, Dean and the rest of the reviewing party getting soaked.

My wife commented at how the command didn't seem to flinch when the sprinklers came on. I told her they would not move before the big doors closed, and they stood fast.
Heard the boat school had a baby shower the week before. Everyone got luggage with wheels!!

They were so professional. No one flinched. I still cannot decide if this was a planning error or if the parade ran long and it was an attempt to keep parents off the Plain.
Go Army!

I did see a 'Help Wanted' ad for a new USMA groundskeeper this morning . . . ;)

A little levity for all of us heat stroked R day parents in the stands after a great day at The Point.
And the brass looked like statues planted there at attention; great examples for the Corps and the New Cadets.

Go Army Beat Navy !!

AMEN! No wheelie carts! GO ARMY! Army Strong! Strength of the Nation. HOOAH!

Point of reference. That was the Comm and his staff. The Sup and Dean were seated behind the sprinklers in the Sup's box. Take note of the one star on the sole flag behind the Comm. Each member of his team were perfect examples of courage under fire as no individual, including the soaking flag bearer, broke line or moved inspite of the deluge which was quickly altered by an attendee with a hat and subsequently stopped.

Couldn't remember who was with the Comm. I just assumed the female in the picture was the Dean.
