USNA Preliminary Application (response timeframe)

My son recently submitted a preliminary application. What is a normal response time of receipt from the USNA? My daughter is a current Youngster and her process was different due to Summer Seminar.

He will be "qualified" as a candidate, and Admissions will notify him of the ability to open the application (CIS) when it is available. Timing should be early summer (as I recall), but truly only USNA Admissions 'knows.' I hope that helps.

USNA doesn’t send a notification of receipt for the preliminary application?

My students who applied for Summer Seminar received a confirmation email (as I recall). As you know, that application also serves as the PCQ. But I have not had any students use the PCQ this year, as they all applied to NASS. I suggest checking your spam as the emails may end-up in that particular 'folder,' which a few of my students have found.
