USNA Prep 2016/17?

I'm not sure what that means. I will be attending the prep school in newport this july.

Self prep = you attending on your own with out sponsorship from the academy. Foundation = sponsored by naval academy to attend the prep school with near guarantee of admission to usna next year.

actually there are 3 types of prep:
Self prep
Foundation
NAPS
